Training
The Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Program has been used by a large number of manufacturing companies such as Potlatch, Polaris, and Marvin Windows for new employee and current worker-enhancement training. Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College have experienced staff members that have worked with this program in customized training for companies throughout Northern Minnesota. This state program provides up to $400,000 in matched training dollars. Companies can include in-kind contributions as part of their match including equipment donated for training and employee wages paid during the actual training sessions. The staff works with the company to make sure that it fits with the companies training needs.
