Start Ups
There are two things that anyone wishing to start a business needs. One is a business plan and the second is company financing. The one agency in the area that works on putting together business plans is the Small Business Development Center. They have the ability to work with an individual to put their business ideas into a formalized plan that would include market information and financial needs / projections. Once the plan is completed it can be taken to potential funding sources for review. There is no charge for developing a business plan. The funding sources for a new start up company would be listed above under the Financing portion of this website. Northwest Minnesota Foundation does have a SBA Micro Loan Program geared for new businesses. The other organizations listed also help finance start up companies. |
