Telecommunications
There are three companies that provide advanced telecommunication services in the Greater Bemidji area. The City is fully wired with fiber optics that can meet almost any businesses or residential need for high speed connectivity. Most of the companies offer bundled telephone, internet and cable TV services. The service providers would include:
Paul Bunyan Telephone Cooperative, Mid-Continent and Qwest.
 
When EXB Solutions decided to put their primary office operation in Bemidji they found out that it offered the location with the most advanced telecommunication system of any of their offices. They have operations in Wayzata, Minnesota, Phoenix, Arizona and Huntsville, Alabama. Pure fiber communications is wired into their Bemidji office.
Bemidji State University also has a portal connection to Internet 2 that allows for high end research and telecommuncations work for qualified companies. |
