EXB Solutions Opens Bemidji Office
EXB Solutions, a high-end test engineering firm, has selected Bemidji to be their primary office location. The company tests advanced navigational and guidance systems for companies such as Boeing, Airbus and NASA. They will be opening their Bemidji office on June 2nd with a staff of six test engineers. Other EXB offices are located in Wayzata, Minnesota and Phoenix, Arizona. They further have a virtual office in Huntsville, Alabama. EXB has hired five graduating seniors from the Physics Engineering Program at Bemidji State University as some of their initial employees. They also are applying for Federal HUB Zone certification which will give them extra points in securing government contracts.

City of Bemidji Building Permits Top $40 Million for 2007
Bemidji posted their second highest building permit year on record last year. Construction came from a wide venue including multi-family home construction, long term care housing, commerical and government buildings.

Bemidji Regional Airport
|
Bemidji Regional Airport has completed a $14 million expansion and improvement to runways 7-25 and 31-13. That work includes extending the primary runway to 7,002 feet and adding advanced ILS(Instrument Landing Systems) to three of the runways at the regional airport.
This summer there will be four flights daily to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport with Regional Jets providing some of the flights.
